July 15, 2017

The New York Red Bulls have loaned Homegrown forward Brandon Allen to Minnesota United FC for the remainder of the season, the club announced today.

"Brandon has performed well at the USL level," said Red Bulls Sporting Director Denis Hamlett. "This move will allow him to continue to gain experience as a professional, including an opportunity to get minutes in MLS."

Allen, an Old Bridge, New Jersey, native, signed with New York as a Homegrown player on December 21, 2015. The forward has seen the majority of his playing time with New York Red Bulls II, tallying 46 games played with 44 starts over the past year and a half. During his time in USL, Allen scored 30 goals, which included a league-best 21 goals in 2016. Allen made his MLS debut as a sub against Toronto on May 28, 2016.
