With all the questions on the backline, a replacement might be lined up already. According to Leipziger Volkszeitung, former RasenBallsport Leipzig captain Tim Sebastian is heading to RBNY.

Sebastian has been under contract with the Saxony club since 2010, but his playing time has greatly diminished recently. He has only played in six matches this season.

If Sebastian is to be signed, it will be the first instance of Red Bull Leipzig/New York matchmaking.
