Roy Miller watches Costa Rica shocker
June 29, 2014
Perhaps they should no longer be called "shockers". Costa Rica won again, moving on to the quarterfinals for the first time in history. The game with Greece ended 1:1 in regulation, after the Greeks tied it in injury time. Costa Rica won on penalties, 5:3.
Roy Miller watched the entire game from the sidelines after suffering a thigh injury in practice. We did not witness any piggyback rides.
In the other World Cup game, Mexico lost a late lead, falling to the Netherlands 2:1. The decisive goal was scored on a penalty four minutes into injury time. The culprit? Metro reject Rafa Marquez. Hang your head in shame, Rafa!
