Carles Puyol wants to play in New York
February 27, 2014
All-world defender Carles Puyol is looking to leave Barcelona after the season, reports Spanish daily Marca. The destination? Unknown yet, but the Barca captain wants to play in New York. Supposedly, contact has been made with both RBNY and NYCFC (the latter being the secondary MLS team that is starting in 2015).
Puyol has won everything imaginable with Barcelona and Spain: multiple league titles, Champions League, Euro Championship, the World Cup... but is due to turn 36 in April.
