Moreno goes clubbing in Tijuana
February 19, 2014

Homegrown forward Amando Moreno has left the club. The 18-year-old did not agree to his option, instead signing with Club Tijuana of Mexico's top league. According to agent Remy Chermin, RBNY made "every effort" to retain Moreno, but their overtures were denied.

"Amando was out of contract and decided recently to decline our offer to stay with the club. He and his agent chose to take this other opportunity," Andy Roxburgh said in a statement.

Moreno played two minutes in MLS action last year, and a full 90 in an Open Cup match. He scored one goal for the reserves, and an additional one in 2013 while he was still a member of the academy.
