RBNY could be looking to acquire attacking midfielder Ronald Vargas, according to Belgium's Sport Wereld. The Venezuelan has spent three injury-filled years at Anderlecht.

According to the website, RBNY "would like to rent" the player and that making a "temporary move to the United States" is a preference for Vargas. Swiss club FC Basel is also interested. Vargas is under contract with Anderlecht through June, but his club would like to extend it further.

Vargas has been linked with Metro back in 2008, when Venezuelan press reported supposed interest. Instead, he moved to Belgium and Club Brugge, and three years later to his current team. Vargas has been capped 15 times for Venezuela.
