Ben Olsen is a scumbag... but you already knew that. Oh, right, let's talk about the game.

Yesterday, Mike Petke brushed off the supposed practice dust-up between himself and Titi Henry. Tonight, the coach benched the French ubermensch, sending a message that no one is bigger than the team. Message received?

Metro didn't end up needing Henry, riding goals by Lloyd Sam and Tim Cahill to a 2:1 victory over DC Scum. Luis Robles came up big as well... but we'll get to that.

With Roy Miller injured, David Carney debuted at left back. Eric Alexander switched to central midfield, and Sam entered on the right. Cahill and Bradley Wright-Phillips formed a new attack in place of Henry and Fabian Espindola.

Metro broke through just eight minutes in. A Metro attack saw Cahill chopped down in the penalty area, but no foul was given. As the teams played on, Sam sent a ball from the right side that Scum keeper Bill Hamid looked to have handled. Instead, the ball went off the far woodwork, off Hamid, over the line, and out. If Hamid is the future of US national team's goalkeeping... we'd rather stay in the present.

The Scum evened the score in the 36th, when Carney was taken to the cleaners by Nick DeLeon, who beat Robles from close range. But Metro responded two minutes later. Jonny Steele swung a cross that was met by Cahill's head, and the Australian grabbed the team's league scoring lead with his eighth of the year.

That was it for the goals, but not for the theatrics. Henry entered early in the second half. He was often dangerous, playing his best game in weeks. Nevertheless, Metro couldn't squeeze out a third, and it all looked for naught in the 72nd minute. Dwayne De Rosario got passed Ibrahim Sekagya in the box, and the Ugandan defender was red carded for bringing him down. The Metro reject stood up to take the penalty kick... and Robles promptly saved it, diving to his right.

DC rarely threatened the rest of the way, but the game was marred by an injury time incident. After Jamison Olave played the ball out due to an injured DC player, scumbag Ben Olsen directed the team to keep the ball. It's called sportsmanship, Ben. Look it up in the dictionary one day.

Lineup: Robles, Carney, Sekagya, Holgersson, Barklage, McCarty, Steele, Alexander, Sam, Cahill, Wright-Phillips. Subs: Kimura, Henry, Olave.
