Bradley Wright-Phillips signed
July 24, 2013 (Official Press Release)

The New York Red Bulls announced today they have signed forward Bradley Wright-Phillips. Wright-Phillips will be added to the team's roster pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate.

"Since Bradley's potential was first recognized by Manchester City and the England's Under-20 side, he has proved to be a goal scorer of note, whether playing up front or as a winger. We are delighted to sign him," said Red Bulls Sporting Director Andy Roxburgh. "He will certainly add another dimension to our roster with his pace and technical ability."

Wright-Phillips' career started in 2004, when he graduated from Manchester City's academy and played for the Premiership side until 2006. The 28-year-old then moved onto English side, Southampton, where he amassed 111 appearances and scored 22 goals. From 2009-11, Wright-Phillips featured for Plymouth Argyle before the former English Under-20 International moved to Charlton Athletic. At Charlton, Wright-Phillips scored 31 goals in 82 games. Wright-Phillips was most recently at Brentford on loan, playing 15 matches and recording five goals.
