Carl Robinson retires to coach in Vancouver

The word is finally in: Carl Robinson has retired as a player. The Welshman was announced as an assistant coach for the Vancouver Whitecaps. Erik Soler released the following statement:

"We want to thank Carl for his service to the New York Red Bulls. He has been a great servant for this club for the past two years and a true mentor for many of our young players. Carl has been a fantastic professional and ambassador for our club. We are excited for Carl, as he moves on in his career. He has a lot of potential and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."
