Henry could be out with Achilles injury
April 11, 2011

And here... we... go. Thierry Henry, who has done very little to justify his $5 million salary, could be rested this week (and possibly beyond) due to an Achilles injury, according to MLSsoccer.com.

"He has a problem with the Achilles," Hans Backe told the league's website. "It is something that is day by day, week by week with him. It's a problem, definitely. Last week, he was flying around in training. Tuesday, Thursday trainings, all smiles. And then he looked really, really shot. It's very hard for him. We just have to take it day by day, but it's concerning, yes. It's a problem, yes, and he's getting treatment for it. But it's not a question about getting any surgery, so that's good. We'll just have to see if and when he can train this week."

It is debatable whether an injured Henry is less beneficial to the one who appeared on the playing field last weekend.
