Kevin Goldthwaite injury setback
May 4, 2010

According to BigAppleSoccer and the New York Post, Kevin Goldthwaite re-injured his groin. The new injury might be career-threatening, with head coach Hans Backe recommending that Goldthwaite sit out the full year. The defender has not played a single minute this season.

"He's got a new problem with his groin last session. It broke up again, so it will take time now. I feel sorry for him because that kind of groin once again, the same injury tha's kept him out since November, it will take time. You see sometimes it could be the end of the career when it's like that," Hans Backe told the Post. "I think now we have got to calm it down in a way and then see the reaction from the groin, and the doctors have to check him. It's the same injury he's done at least one, perhaps two. He had some injections, too. My experience is it's difficult to be back, probably have to take one year rest see if it's possible to start all over again."
