MetroFanatic: You are not the second-tenured member of this team, and you're just 21. How is to feel to be the veteran of this team?
Mike Magee: It's definitely my favorite of my four years. Obviously, the change the management, Red Bull bought the team. A lot of things going on, I'm watching them trade away all my teammates, things disintegrating over the years, but I'm definitely confident why I'm still here. And I have the ability and it's the best time to be here.

MF: It was said you bulked up over the offseason?
MM: No, I don't know about that. I hope so.

MF: It was written in the press, like you have a brand new body or something.
MM: (laughs) Maybe, I don't keep track.

MF: How was your preseason, you scored four goals early on, and then nothing.
MM: I was playing in the earlier stages, I had a very good camp, when we went down to LA I played some midfield. Results obviously didn't justify how good the team is and the kind of players we have.

MF: Eddie is gone, what are your thoughts on that?
MM: Yeah, it's tough. A guy you've been friends with, a guy who's a good player, our lockers were next to each other, we got so close. But that's the business, I lost a lot of good friends. Alexi and Mo think it's for the best, so it is for the better.

MF: You were always regarded as one of Bob Bradley's guys, and everyone thought that when Bob is out of the door, you are out of the door, but you're still here.
MM: I like Bob, and I know Bob well. Mo came out to me and said, I want you on this team. Either way, I'm just here to play.
