MetroFanatic: Your first full season as a MetroStar - how are things looking so far for you?
Craig Ziadie: It's a completely different team, but the guys they brought in, I think it's a good mix of guys. One thing I've learned playing professionally is that your team needs to be unified - you need to have cohesion in the group. The guys they've brought in have really adapted to their surroundings, and they're good guys, who'll fight together for the team. I'm looking forward to the season

MF: Having seen you play only once in preseason, it seems like the whole defense was more structured, and it seemed like you weren't pressing forward as much - last year it seemed like you were taking the ball up a lot. Will you be playing a little more defensively this year?
CZ: Yeah, now I realize that I'm a defender first, and when I can I'll contribute on the attack. As the year goes on and I get more in shape, I'll go forward more. I want to have more confidence in the back - having Eddie is a tremendous asset, because I know I can go forward more, too. In that game I wanted to be a defender first and make sure I was defending well

MF: Are you expecting to play just in defense, or to maybe push up to midfield?
CZ: I think I'll be in the defense. If we play 4 in the back I'll be at right back, and if we play 3 in the back I might push up to right midfield. I think I can play either position, which is a good thing for the team. I'll just do what the coach wants.

MF: Do you see any big differences between the team this year and last year?
CZ: Last year, I didn't think everyone got along too well. This year, so far there's no conflict on the team, in practice everybody works real hard and we fight for each other as a team. Last year, it wasn't always like that. This year, so far, the guys get along well.

MF: You're getting some Jamaican National Team action - how is that working out for you?
CZ: It's definitely given me a lot more confidence, playing at the international level. If I can continue to do that, and continue to grow as a player, I think I can help out the team. I think it's been good for me.
