July 9, 2019 (Official Press Release)

New York Red Bulls midfielder Florian Valot has received his United States Green Card, and no longer occupies an international spot on the Red Bulls roster.

Valot, a native of Pau, France, made his MLS debut on March 24, 2018 against Minnesota United, where he started and played 85 minutes. He then started 12 of the next 13 matches, tallying three goals and three assists in 1,065 minutes. Valot suffered an ACL tear in his left knee and had season-ending surgery on July 19, 2018. He returned to action on March 2, 2019, started the next two matches before suffering an ACL tear in his right knee and subsequently had season-ending surgery on April 4.

Valot joined the Red Bulls organization in 2016 where he was signed to New York Red Bulls II, the team's USL Championship side. The French midfielder spent two seasons with Red Bulls II before earning a first-team contract at the end of the 2017 season.
