Two days ago, Metro once again defeated DC Scum. Today, news comes that they are after DC's former academy player, Jean-Christophe Koffi. The 20-year-old had recently left the University of Virginia after three seasons to pursue professional opportunities.

Steven Goff reports that Koffi's signing by RBNY is "imminent. Red Bulls will probably relinquish allocation money. DCU would retain sell-on rights. Trade deadline has passed, but this unique situation (homegrown turning pro) wouldn't apply."

Koffi, a 5-9 midfielder from the Ivory Coast, was a first-team All-ACC selection last year.
