Jesse Marsch on the verge of departure?
July 5, 2018

Jesse Marsch's long flirtation with Red Bull's premier club could be heading to resolution. According to Kristian Dyer, "Marsch is close to leaving the New York Red Bulls to take a role with RB Leipzig".

The exact role is not clear: Leipzig has agreed with Hoffenheim manager, 30-year-old(!) Julian Nagelsmann to be its head coach... after the 2018-19 season. So Marsch would either be an interim coach for that campaign... or, potentially, an interim assistant head coach.

MLSsoccer.com has confirmed the Dyer story, adding that assistant Chris Armas is likely to take over.
