With final on the mind, it's a scoreless tie

Clearly, there is a more important game in three days. Jesse Marsch chose to rest most of his first team, and, despite a very spirited performance, Metro had to settle for a 0:0 draw (its fourth tie in a row) against an inept Philadelphia team. Bring on the Open Cup final!

Luis Robles and Felipe were surrounded by mostly backups: Sal Zizzo Jr., Damien Perrinelle, and Michael Murillo on defense, Connor Lade and Alex Muyl on the wings, Derrick Etienne, Sean Davis, and Muhamed Keita in midfield, and Gonzalo Veron alone up front.

Metro dominated the first half, with Veron denied on multiple occasions by Worms keeper Andre Blake. Keita showed himself well, putting the ball in dangerous places...

You know, just like the team today, our heart is not into writing this game recap. So we'll just note that once again, Metro defense left space open (thankfully, Chris Pontius has turned into a piece of garbage), and wrap it up.

Seriously, bring on the Open Cup final!

Lineup: Robles, Zizzo, Perrinelle, Murillo, Lade, Muyl, Martins, Davis, Keita, Etienne, Veron. Subs: Kljestan, Wright-Phillips, Adams.
