At media day, Jesse Marsch hinted that the club might sign a new attacker, and reports out of (where else!) Austria now give us a name. According to Der Standard, Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund claims that it's possible that Fredrik Gulbrandsen will move to Red Bull New York. "This is a possibility that could happen in the next few days," Freund said.

Gulbrandsen signed with Salzburg this past offseason. He started his career in Norway with Lillestorm, and also played for Molde. The striker appeared three times for Norway: twice in 2014 and once in 2016.
