New York Red Bulls II earned a 5-1 victory over Orlando City B on Friday night at Red Bull Arena behind goals from Brandon Allen, Devon Williams, Junior Flemmings and Zoumana Simpara. Video Assistant Referee was used in the match, the first time replay has been used in a competitive soccer match.

New York went ahead in the eighth minute, when a shot from Florian Valot was redirected into the Orlando City goal by a defender.

The first use of Video Assistant Referee was initiated in the 35th minute after a foul was called on Orlando City B's Conor Donovan at the edge of the penalty area. After conferring with the Video Assistant Referee, head referee Ismail Elfath reviewed the play at field level and determined that a red card was warranted.

Red Bulls Homegrown forward Brandon Allen converted a penalty to double the advantage in the 62nd minute, and opened the floodgates for NYRB II.

Devon Williams pushed the lead to three minutes later, connecting with a pass from Vincent Bezecourt at the top of the penalty area with his first touch.

Junior Flemmings and Zoumana Simpara scored late in the game, finishing off plays set up by two current Red Bulls Academy players, Kazu Shigenobu and Omir Fernandez, who saw their first USL action along with fellow academy players Chris Gloster and Ben Mines.
