A fantastic overtime session saw RBNY II come up with a victory in its first ever playoff game, dropping the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, 4:2. Metro Juniors, who went down in the first half and then early in overtime, fought back through the unlikeliest source -- regular fill-in turned reserve captain, Karl Ouimette.

Pittsburgh went up in the 15th minute, when Willie Hunt headed in a free kick. Even though Metro had numerous opportunities to even the score, they ended the first half with a deficit.

In the 65th, Manolo Sanchez received the ball in the box, then fooled a sliding Pittsburgh defender. With just a goalie to beat, Sanchez did just that.

Five minutes from end of regulation, a Colin Heffron header looked to be going in, but was saved and rebounded off the post and out. Overtime was entered at 1:1, but that only lasted six minutes. Hunt again, this time off a corner kick, gave the visitors the lead.

And then it was Ouimette time. Those words were probably never uttered before, but there is a first time for everything. Of course, he couldn't do it alone: sub Daniel Bedoya played provider. Twice Bedoya served corner kicks to Ouimette's head, in the 102nd and 114th minute. Twice they ended in the back of the net.

Bedoya then added one for good measure himself, slotting home on a breakaway in the 119th minute. RBNY II is now off to league-topping Rochester for the quarterfinal. Let's hope that Ouimette makes the trip...
