According to TyC Sports, RBNY has agreed to a transfer for Gonzalo Veron. The Argentine winger, who has also seen time at forward, plays for San Lorenzo in his native country. The transfer is reported to be $2.2 million.

Veron, 25, has been with the club since 2012, previously featuring for Sportivo Italiano. He won the Copa Libertadores with San Lorenzo last year, appearing in both final games off the bench. Veron also started the FIFA World Club Cup final against Real Madrid.

Update: Grant Wahl confirmed the deal, saying that RBNY is "on the verge of completing". According to him, Veron would be a Designated Player.
