Shaun Wright-Phillps to be signed
July 26, 2015

Shaun Wright-Phillips, who was supposedly on here on a "training" stint, will be signed on Monday, reports Taylor Twellman. According to the NY Post, it will not be a Designated Player deal.

The elder Wright-Phillips, 33, was recently on the books of Queens Park Rangers, but only played in four league matches last year. He scored six goals in 36 caps for England, and played for his country in the 2010 World Cup.

Signing the more widely known Wright-Phillips will give Metro its first set of brothers since Martin and Fausto Klinger graced the field for 14 unforgettable minutes in 2001.
