We hope they are not too happy with this result, a 1:1 draw with LA. Sure, they were playing the defending champions, and, sure, they showed resolve in coming back. But the way Metro dominated every area of the field, a draw seems to be a letdown. Yes, we realize that might seem strange, considering the team entered the season with incredibly low expectations. Yet here we are...

Jesse Marsch made just only one change from last week's lineup, inserting Sal Zizzo for Mike Grella. The cohesion seemed to pay off, as the patented "up-tempo, high-pressure" style had the Galaxy on the ropes early. And yet, it were the visitors who broke through. In the 9th minute, completely against the run of play, Brandon Jamieson spun around Chris Duvall and sent a dart through the penalty area and into the Metro net.

However, like the teams of the Mike Petke years, this Metro club seems to have the resolve to pull back. Back then, it was Thierry Henry who could turn the game with one touch. This time around, it's the group complementing each other that has opponents on their ropes. Later in the first, Sacha Kljestan sent a quick cross that found Bradley Wright-Phillips, and it looked like Metro had the equalizer. Unfortunately, Jaime Penedo got himself in front of the shot.

Metro had to wait until the second half for the tying score. In the 58th, a Zizzo cross was sent to Wright-Phillips, and the Englishman's shot was deflected. Felipe was in front of the net, and looked to be trying to get out of the way. Thankfully, he didn't; the ball hit his head and redirected past Penedo.

Metro continued to dominate the rest of the way, but the Galaxy did well to put the clamps in their own third. The one rare chance LA got was stopped with a solid tackle by the ever-improving Matt Miazga.

So, six games in, Metro is still unbeaten. And yet, we're not too happy about this one...

Lineup: Robles, Lawrence, Perrinelle, Miazga, Duvall, McCarty, Martins, Kljestan, Zizzo, Sam, Wright-Phillips. Subs: Grella, Richards.
