Ali Curtis to be named Sporting Director?
December 21, 2014
It looks like RBNY's search for Andy Roxburgh's replacement is over, reports BigAppleSoccer. The club is ready to name Ali Curtis as its new Sporting Director.
Curtis is currently the MLS's senior director of player relations and competition. This followed an underwhelming pro career. After winning the Hermann Trophy at Duke and being drafted second overall in 2001, he played four years in MLS, for Tampa Bay, DC and Dallas.
BAS originally announced Curtis' candidacy on October 23, but ammended on November 1, stating that he did not make the short list of finalists. Whatever the reasoning, he looks to be back in.
