According to an "exclusive" from British soccer website Caught Offside, RBNY is interested in Shola Ameobi. The Nigerian striker, who spent his entire career at Newcastle, is currently a free agent. He recently played for his country in the World Cup.

Ameobi has been at Newcastle since coming in as a youth player in 1995. The only break from the Magpies was a short loan at Stoke in 2008. In all club competitions, he has scored 79 goals in 402 appearances.
