Robin Fraser considered for assistant?
January 25, 2013

Deposes Chivas USA coach Robin Fraser is being considered for an assistant role under Mike Petke (under Mike Petke! Still not used to saying that!), reports the NY Post. Fraser was dropped during the current offseason after two years in charge of the Goats.

Fraser, an MLS original, played for 10 years with the Galaxy, Rapids, and Crew. He was named MLS Defender of the Year twice. He then spent four years as the top assistant at Salt Lake, winning accolades for the team's improved defensive performance.

The Post also clarified the Paulo Sousa situation. The Portuguese manager agreed to become Metro's head coach, but was not successful in obtaining a work permit.
