After Metro escaped the expansion draft unscathed, six players were placed on waivers. Alex Horwath, Mike Jones, Tyler Lassiter, Marcos Paullo, John Rooney, and Teddy Schneider were all told to seek employment elsewhere.

Of the six, only Horwath, Jones, and Rooney appeared in regular season matches. Horwath recorded a shutout in his only appearance, against Columbus. Jones played a single extra time minute against Chicago. Rooney saw time off the bench five times, but did score the gamewinner against FC New York in the Open Cup. Lassiter, Paullo, and Schneider only saw playing time in that competition.
