Don't worry, Metro fans. Your team might have looked like absolute feces tonight, losing to Salt Lake 3:0. Who cares, really? We won the Emirates Cup!
It doesn't matter that they couldn't generate any dangerous chances in the entire match. It doesn't matter that they were dominated in every facet of the game. It doesn't matter thay they let it another set piece goal. It doesn't matter that the designated player goalkeeper was caught flat-footed on the second goal and then was subbed out at the half. None of it matters. We won the Emirates Cup!
It doesn't matter than they won only two games since May. It doesn't matter that the team with the highest payroll in league history might not make the playoffs. It doesn't matter that they have absolutely no depth and always teeter on one injury away from disaster. It's all irrelevant. We won the Emirates Cup!
