Redemption?
October 28, 2008

We all make mistakes.

Time after time, we all do something which, in retrospect, was wrong. Or unfortunate. Or just plain stupid.

Hopefully, we learn from these mistakes. Hopefully, next time the situation arises, we do something differently. We analyze what happened and proceed forward so that the past does not repeat itself.

Which brings us to Juan Carlos Osorio. Last week he made a mistake. Not one mistake. Many mistakes. Tactical mistakes. Lineup mistakes. Mistakes that should have cost Metro the season.

But they didn't. Thankfully for Osorio, DC choked in Columbus, and he was given a second chance. The slate is wiped clean for the playoffs. Win a series, and you are a hero. Fall flat, and the vultures, called off after the weekend, will swoop down once again.

So will Osorio learn from his mistakes? Will he keep playing players out of position? Will he continue to give lineup places to players who fail week after week? Will he change his tactics to those that best suit his starting eleven?

Will he be redeemed?

The ball is in your court, Juan Carlos Osorio.
