Sinisa Ubiparipovic forced to take a paycut
July 10, 2008

With Metro signing at least three players, roster space is at a premium. So, according to MLSnet, second-year midfielder Sinisa Ubiparipovic was taken off the senior roster and placed on the developmental one. As a result, his salary went from 33,000 to 17,700.

Earlier this year, draftee Eric Brunner refused a similar move, and ended up leaving the team.

With two open senior roster spots, Metro needs to clear at least one more to accommodate its signings -- provided that Diego Jimenez's deal is not developmental.
