We might have a name of one of the elusive South Americans that Juan Carlos Osorio has been looking at. Ronald Vargas, a midfielder who plays for Caracas FC, has been observed this week by the Metro coach, according to Venezuelan source Planeta Vinotinto.

Vargas, 21, is a an international on the Under-20 level for Venezuela. A left midfielder, he can also play as a forward. According to the source, he was recommended to Osorio by none other than Metro great Giovanni Savarese, who was ungracefully fired last year from his position as Director of Youth Development.
