Metro talking to Juan Pablo Angel

MetroFanatic has confirmed the rumor first reported by BigAppleSoccer, that RBNY is in talks with Colombian striker Juan Pablo Angel. During Media Day, Bruce Arena mentioned that signing a second designated player could come within the next month. However, whether or not he meant Angel or someone else, is not known.

Angel has spent the last seven years in England with Aston Villa after a transfer from Argentine giants River Plate. He has scored 44 goals in league play during his time at Villa. For Colombia, Angel has nine goals in 33 caps. Recently, Angel has been linked to West Brom, as well as a return to River.
