According to AZ Alkmaar's website, Ronald Waterreus has reached an agreement with RBNY on a one-year-deal with Metro holding the option for a second year. He would leave for the US in February.

Waterreus, 36, started his career with Roda JC in 1992 and played ten years with PSV Eindhoven (1994-2004). He has a short stint with Man City in the Premiership and backstopped Rangers in 2005-06 before a short-time move back to Holland and Alkamaar. Waterreus has been capped seven times for his country.
