Northern Ireland international striker Gary Hamilton, who scored 18 goals this season for Portadown in the semi-pro Irish league, has joined the Metros for their pre-season training in Spain. Hamilton has one cap for the senior national team has represented them on all the youth levels. He came up as a trainee at Blackburn and has been with Portadown since 2002.

Hamilton played against Real Murcia, but according to Bob Bradley in the conference call after the game, neither he nor Austin McCann will be joining the Metros for the upcoming season.
