The MetroStars dropped a 1-0 decision to the Colorado Rapids in a 60-minute scrimmage today at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Mark Chung tallied the lone goal of the game for the Rapids in the 22nd minute. Chris Henderson set up the goal when he played a cross from the right side into the MetroStars 18-yard box. Chung leaped above defenders to meet the ball and head it past MetroStars goalkeeper Zach Wells.

Despite surrendering the goal, Wells played solid for the second consecutive day for the Metros. The UCLA product made many saves to keep the Colorado lead at 1-0.

Chris Leitch also played well on the defensive end for the Metro. The veteran defender wore the captain's armband for the second consecutive game, and worked well with Tim Regan in the Metros' back line.

This game was the final MetroStars training session in Bradenton, Florida. The team will return to New Jersey tomorrow with two preseason trips still on tap, the first of which begins on Friday when the team leaves for the La Manga Cup in Murcia, Spain.
