John Wolyniec offered coaching job
July 25, 2010

John Wolyniec, whose exit from the team is all but certain, has been offered a coaching job with the club, according to Hans Backe. "He has to take the decision on what he wants to do", the Metro coach told reporters.

Wolyniec has been absent from practice ever since Thierry Henry joined the club. RBNY needs to release one player to get within the league's roster limit.

"I'm sad it has come to an end," Wolyniec, who is still mulling over his decision, told BigAppleSoccer. "The club has been good to me. I've been grateful to the opportunity they have given me."

The Staten Island Ronaldo scored 36 goals in 167 games for the clubs, including some of the greatest tallies in team history. His goal total stands fifth in team history, his game total -- second.
